We all like our outdoor spaces looking brand new for years to come but unfortunately things sometimes get out of hand. Here are a few simple things you can do each month or week to keep your patio or alfresco in top shape!
- Keep up the sweeping
Sweep the area weekly using a stiff broom to remove any lose stones, leaves or other rubbish. This will stop any debris leaving stains on your paving. - Keep weeds under control
Over time, you may find that a few weeds find their way into the gaps between your pavers. When you spy some weeds, apply a weed killer then wait for them to die to make them easy to remove. - Wash it down
A good wash will remove any dirt and dust from your paving. If there is any mud or other substances stuck on the pavers you can use a pressure washer to remove it. However, always use a fan spray, not a jet, and don’t spray too close so you don’t damage the paving!
With these three simple steps, you’ll be sure to keep your paved patio or entertaining area looking clean and tidy for years to come.
