The University of New England Armidale Campus recently installed a new pedestrian connecting link within the campus. The brief was to include vibrant, activated public spaces along the link that would encourage interaction between students. Three rest areas were included in the design to meet the brief, incorporating feature paving, light strips and street furniture.
The Apex Masonry solution
Apex Masonry AdraPAVE was specified by GHD Woodhead due to the ‘various textures and colours’ available to meet the established design concept. In the landscape architect’s words, pavers were a perfect solution because they are ‘modular, aesthetically pleasing and require low maintenance.’ The outcome was an attractive space utilising AdraPAVE in stretcher-bond pattern with distinct feature borders.
Testimonial from Installer
‘…from ease and convenience of arranging delivery to the quality well-made product delivered, we thoroughly enjoyed working with your pavers. Between the different colours they were very consistent in shape and size for our intricately designed project.’
